And sometimes third and fourth… Our founders are deeply passionate about rehabilitation and know from being directly involved in their own community’s non-profit drug and alcohol recovery home and sober living home, that the most successful pathway to long lasting recovery often begins after losing everything which in many cases means homelessness. By entering into a structured group home, a completely broken person is assisted step by step in putting their life together. It’s a long process that honestly takes years of dedication, including mental health treatment and therapy, and rigid sobriety tools to become whole again. And we know one of the biggest obstacles to maintaining that healing recovery is everything that came before. Time and again, we have witnessed roadblocks that can make it feel impossible to put the past to rest. It’s always there to haunt a person, fully accessible through a few clicks or a check box on an application. True rehabilitation requires a person to walk forward in freedom – freedom from their addiction, freedom from the criminal records that were a direct result of their addiction, and into open doors offering the very same opportunities people without these added challenges are readily afforded. Our mission, Her Legacy, is the family we are building behind the scenes. We have witnessed multiple employees come through the doors of our recovery home for the first time. We have stood by them while using the tools they learned within those walls to overcome one obstacle after another, and we have been by their sides as they have accomplished things that at one time seemed impossible. We believe in accountability and maintaining a safe environment for all of our people to flourish. And best of all, we have the pleasure of witnessing their hard work truly pay off.
